The Doom Loop

Definition

The least you need to know

The Doom Loop is the named failure spiral that explains why most coaches and consultants quit within their first few years on their own. It runs through three mistakes in sequence: the "everyone coach" who takes any client, the "what's up coach" who shows up without an agenda, and the "freeloader coach" who clings to clients for the revenue. It starts when a coach short on clients drums up business without being clear on what they sell or who they sell it to.
