Three-Times Rule

The least you need to know
The Three-Times Rule is a blunt rule of thumb for surviving Early Struggle: whatever your plan says you need, triple it. It starts as a funding rule, since most ventures that fail do so because they were underfunded from the start, but it extends to time, energy, commitment, and stress too. Plan for at least three times what you intuitively think it will take. Over-raising and giving some back is a far better problem than running dry.
