Gravitational pull is the model's name for the constant force that drags an organization away from where it is trying to go on the Lifecycle. Each stage tugs at the one next to it, and that pull is rarely toward where the leader wants the organization to be. The force never fully releases, even at the top, and it can also come from an industry's own position or from a single dominant achievement that distorts everything around it. Resisting it is the daily work of leadership, never won once.
