Pull, Not Push

Definition

The least you need to know

Pull, not push is the model's name for the dynamic that flips when an organization reaches Predictable Success. Before that point, leaders feel like they are pushing a rock uphill, fearing that progress will slide back the moment they stop, which is why they take few vacations and risk burnout. In Predictable Success the dynamic reverses: growth comes from everyone taking ownership and self-accountability and pulling together, so managers stop driving every decision and become a resource to teams who run with the ball themselves.
