Recovery Imperatives
Definition
The least you need to know
The Recovery Imperatives are the six people-side Imperatives on the right of the Scalability Matrix that an organization works to pull itself back from Treadmill toward Predictable Success before it slides into The Big Rut. They are Hiring, Deployment, Performance Assessment, Training, Mentoring and Coaching, and Ownership and Self-Accountability, worked from the outside in. Recovery is people-focused: you change how employees relate to existing systems rather than dismantle the systems. Once an organization enters The Big Rut there is no path back, so these apply to Treadmill only.
