The Imperatives
Definition
The least you need to know
The Imperatives are the thirteen things every organization has to excel at to reach Predictable Success and stay there. They sit on the Scalability Matrix: six Growth Imperatives for organizations on the climb, six Recovery Imperatives for those in decline, and Ownership and Self-Accountability at the dead center, where every other Imperative points. They apply to every organization regardless of industry, and they have direction and dependency, so you diagnose two or three at a time and work from the outside of the Matrix toward the middle.
