The 3-I Pattern is the shape every piece of high-quality, team-based decision-making takes: Investigation, then Interpretation, then Implementation. Les McKeown introduced it in The Synergist as the hidden rhythm all successful teams follow, regardless of their specific goals. It repeats, so a team may cycle through it many times in a single meeting, and it flexes, so each stage can run from seconds to months. Each stage carries three imperatives, nine in total.
