A Dominant Visionary is a leader whose Visionary score on the Predictable Success Leadership Styles Quiz is 480 or higher, above the Primary band, in the range VOPS calls Dominant: the Style owns the person rather than the person owning the Style. They always reach for a Visionary solution, even when an Operator, Processor or Synergist answer would work better. The band is wide, and where a person sits in it matters: a score from 480 to about 600 can be coached back down into Primary, and it is only from the mid-600s upward that the Style's dark side, the Arsonist, is definitely present. The same two-part reading applies to a Dominant score on any of the four Styles. Wherever it appears it is a liability at every stage of the Lifecycle: the only Style whose Dominant form helps an organization in its early stages is the Operator. A Dominant score can't be managed on self-awareness alone; it has to be coached.
