Difficult Conversations

Definition

The least you need to know

A difficult conversation is anything you find difficult to talk about, and handling it well is one of the people-side skills inside the Synergist Skillset. The Predictable Success view is that most difficult conversations are not really about the facts. They turn on differing values, perceptions, and feelings, and the skills to manage them are learnable rather than inborn. The teaching covers a three-phase process of preparation, the conversation, and follow-up, plus managing your own emotions and flexing your approach to the other person's VOPS Style.
